Two Incredible Chefs.
One Goal In Mind.
Here at Edgar’s, Master Chef Marcel Biró and Chef Ian McDonald, the dynamic duo of creative cuisine, work together seamlessly to bring a whole new culinary experience to Augusta.
MASTER CHEF MARCEL BIRÓ
The son of an East German chef, Marcel began working in his father’s kitchen at the age of six. He completed culinary school by age 15, and by age 24 was named Master Chef de Cuisine—making him the youngest chef in Europe to receive that prestigious title. A few years later, after moving to America, Marcel opened his own culinary school, authored two cookbooks, and also produced and hosted an Emmy Award® winning PBS television series, “The Kitchens of Biró.”
CHEF DE CUISINE IAN MCDONALD
Chef Ian McDonald is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Most recently, he served as the Sous Chef at The Restaurant at the Wilcox Inn in Aiken, SC. Prior to that, he was Director of Food and Beverage at The Inn at Harvard in Cambridge, MA, and the Sommelier at the Friends Lake Inn in New York.
Ian is also a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve and was stationed in Iraq.
